Big Bass Christmas Blast 1000 by Pragmatic Play brings its fishing trip into a snowy Christmas setting. Five reels and three rows provide a familiar line-game foundation, while Fish Money symbols give the Fisherman Wild something extra to collect. That collection matters during ordinary spins as well as Free Spins, so the fisherman is worth watching before the bonus arrives.
Quick take: Fish collection gives ordinary spins a purpose, while Free Spins turn collected fishermen into progress.
Theme and Gameplay
The winter fishing setting ties the festive theme to the symbols that matter most. Across ten left-to-right paylines, matching symbols form the ordinary wins. Fish Money follows a separate collection mechanic, making it useful to distinguish a paying line from the cash values waiting for a fisherman.
Fisherman Wilds appear on the first and fifth reels during base play. They substitute for symbols other than Scatters and collect Fish Money values. Their position at the edges gives you a specific place to look when cash fish appear across the board.
Slot Features
Base-game Fisherman Wilds can carry a multiplier of up to 10x, while individual Fish Money symbols can hold as much as 1,000 times the bet. The useful interaction is the collection: a large fish value becomes more interesting when a fisherman arrives to gather it.
Three Scatters award ten Free Spins, four award fifteen and five award twenty. Once the round begins, every fourth collected Fisherman Wild awards additional spins and raises the collection multiplier, which can reach 10x. The bonus therefore has two connected goals: collect the fish on the current result and gather fishermen to improve the round still ahead.
Ordinary and Super Free Spins purchase options also offer direct feature entry.
Feature focus: A collected fisherman can matter beyond the fish values it gathers: completing the next group of four extends Free Spins and increases the collection multiplier.
RTP and Win Potential
The listed RTP is 96.5%, with a maximum win of 20,000 times the bet. RTP describes a long-term theoretical return, while the maximum is a ceiling rather than an expected result. The more useful thing to follow during a round is how the collected fish values combine with the active multiplier.
My Thoughts On This Slot
Giving the fisherman a collection role in ordinary play helps the base game feel connected to the bonus. There is something specific to watch between Scatter triggers, and the ten-line layout keeps the underlying symbol wins manageable.
The Free Spins progression is the stronger attraction. A fisherman can contribute to the current collection and bring the next multiplier increase closer. That layered role should appeal to anyone who enjoys following progress through a feature, although the repeated fish-and-collector pattern may feel familiar to someone seeking a different bonus structure.
Final Take: A festive fishing slot with a useful base-game collector and a clear reason to follow every bonus fisherman.
