Buffalo Goldrush by Astriona puts buffalo, wildlife and gold imagery into a Wild West frontier setting. Ordinary play uses five reels and 25 paylines, while special symbols open a Hold and Win bonus. That feature changes the task from finding line wins to watching locked symbols build toward a full set of reels.
Quick take: A frontier line slot where each new bonus symbol keeps the respin chase moving.
Theme and Gameplay
The buffalo and gold give the game a familiar frontier identity, with two different things to follow as play develops. On ordinary spins, the paylines determine which symbol combinations pay. A screen containing several matching symbols still needs a qualifying line result; their presence alone does not make a win.
Special symbols carry a separate purpose because they trigger Hold and Win. That gives the base game a second point of interest alongside its line combinations. Once the bonus begins, attention shifts toward the positions already occupied and the spaces still available.
Slot Features
During Hold and Win, special symbols lock in place. New symbols allow respins to continue, so an addition matters both as progress across the reels and as a way to keep the feature running. The held positions give the round a visible history: each new arrival builds on what is already there.
Filling the reels leads to the grand jackpot. That creates a clear target beyond simply extending the round. As more positions become occupied, the remaining gaps become the useful places to watch, although progress toward a full board does not guarantee that it will be completed.
Feature focus: A new symbol does two useful jobs in Hold and Win: it occupies another position and keeps the respins going.
RTP and Win Potential
Buffalo Goldrush lists 96% RTP, high volatility and a maximum win of 1,000x the bet. The volatility points to uneven returns, while RTP describes a long-run theoretical average rather than what an individual session should return. The maximum is a ceiling, not an expectation for reaching the bonus.
My Thoughts On This Slot
Every gap left in Buffalo Goldrush's Hold and Win round gives you somewhere specific to look. A new special symbol occupies a position and keeps the respins going, so its arrival changes both the board and the continuation of the round. That is an effective way to make collection easy to follow: the held symbols show the progress already made, while filling the reels remains the grand jackpot target.
The suspense comes from a familiar structure, which limits the novelty beneath the frontier imagery. Progress also leaves the outcome unresolved; a partly filled board does not promise completion. Alongside the high volatility, that makes this better suited to enjoying the collection chase itself than expecting a dependable payoff from its visible progress.
Final Take: Buffalo Goldrush gives its frontier chase a clear purpose: hold the symbols, extend the round and pursue the remaining gaps.
