Hammer of Aesir brings Norse mythology and Valhalla to a five-reel slot. Its 5×4 base game offers 1,024 ways to win, while the Reel Riser bonus expands the board to 5×9 and shifts attention to symbols and hammers that can build prize values.
Quick take: A Valhalla-themed ways slot grows into a 5×9 bonus with rising values and a multiplier.
Theme and Gameplay
The Norse setting gives the game a clear change of scale: ordinary spins use a compact four-row layout, while Reel Riser opens a much taller board. The base game’s 1,024 ways make matching symbols across the reels the basic thing to follow, with Wilds also listed among the features. The expanded bonus is where the screen’s extra height starts to matter.
Slot Features
Reel Riser uses a 5×9 grid with Boost and +1 Spin symbols. As new symbols and Hammers arrive, they can raise winning values and increase an additional multiplier; the round can also award extra spins. The multiplier can reach x50 in the bonus. A Buy Feature and Gamble feature are also listed, but the main attraction is the board expansion and its growing values.
Feature focus: In Reel Riser, watch how new symbols and Hammers affect the winning values and additional multiplier; extra spins can give that build-up more room to continue.
RTP and Win Potential
The listed maximum win is 2,939x. The bonus multiplier can reach x50, but that figure is one part of the feature’s value-building play rather than a win by itself.
My Thoughts On This Slot
Moving from four rows to nine gives Reel Riser room to make its value-building action the centre of Hammer of Aesir. The expansion has a purpose beyond making the Norse setting look grander: new symbols and Hammers can raise winning values and an additional multiplier, so the taller board contains several things worth following.
Boost and +1 Spin symbols add to that developing round, with extra spins allowing the build to continue. I find that progression more compelling than the change in dimensions alone. It also makes the bonus busier than the 1,024-way base game. The attraction is keeping track of values, multiplier growth and remaining opportunities together; a preference for a consistent spin rhythm makes that same detail a drawback.
Final Take: A Norse ways slot whose expanded Reel Riser bonus is its defining feature.
