Biochrome City by PlayCognito sets a five-reel game in a neon metropolis caught between a corporation and a resistance. Its 5×5 layout pays through 15 paylines, with expanding multiplier Wilds giving the city its main gameplay hook. During Free Spins, those expanded reels can stay in place and influence the turns still to come.
Quick take: Sticky expanding Wilds give this neon city's Free Spins a visible sense of progress.
Theme and Gameplay
The corporate conflict gives the neon setting a clear identity, while ordinary spins revolve around finding paying combinations across the tall reel field. Fifteen paylines determine the results, so a screen full of similar symbols still needs the right arrangement to pay. Standard Wilds help by substituting for symbols.
The special expanding symbol is the more significant arrival. It becomes a full-reel Wild, changing an entire column rather than one position. That makes the surrounding symbols worth a second look: the expansion matters through the winning combinations it helps form.
Slot Features
An Expanding Wild receives a random multiplier that applies to winning combinations. Its full-reel coverage and multiplier do different jobs: one helps complete combinations, while the other increases their value.
Three Scatters award 10 Free Spins. During this round, Expanding Wilds remain sticky until the bonus ends, and several can appear together. A reel already covered by a Wild therefore stays useful on later spins, giving the feature a different starting position as it develops.
Super Free Spins use an opening wheel to set modifiers, including the spin count and minimum Expanding Wild multiplier. Both bonus modes can be purchased. Lucky Bet offers another approach by increasing the chance of triggering a bonus; it does not guarantee entry.
Feature focus: A sticky Expanding Wild is worth following beyond the spin that creates it. Its held reel can help later combinations, while additional expanding Wilds can bring more columns into play.
RTP and Win Potential
Expanding Wild multipliers range from 2x to 100x. The advertised maximum win is 15,000x the bet, and the game carries a very high volatility rating. That combination points toward uneven returns: a substantial multiplier still needs winning combinations, and the top prize is a ceiling rather than an expectation.
My Thoughts On This Slot
The strongest idea is keeping expanded Wilds on the reels during Free Spins. It gives the bonus a concrete point of interest: which columns are already covered, and how the remaining symbols work around them. The city setting supplies the character, but that persistent reel coverage supplies the reason to follow each turn.
Very high volatility may make the game less appealing for someone seeking steadier rewards. Biochrome City is a better fit for a player who enjoys a familiar payline foundation and a bonus that can develop through lasting changes to the reels.
Final Take: Biochrome City's appeal rests on expanding Wilds that keep their place and give later free spins more to work with.
