Mama Juju: Book of Voodoo brings a five-reel slot into a bayou voodoo workshop filled with charms, dolls and a spellbook. Ten paylines keep the ordinary game familiar, while the Book of Voodoo can help complete a winning line and open the free spins feature.
Quick take: A spellbook Wild also starts free spins, where matching symbols can expand across the reels.
Theme and Gameplay
Mama Juju and her workshop give the game a clear voodoo setting, with the book serving as the symbol to watch on ordinary spins. It substitutes in winning lines, so a book landing among other symbols can help connect a result. The same symbol also acts as a Scatter, giving it a second role beyond line wins.
Slot Features
Three or more Book of Voodoo Scatters award eight free spins. The feature selects a regular symbol as an Expanding symbol; when enough of that symbol match, each reel containing it fills with the symbol, even when those reels are not next to each other. Four or more Scatters during free spins add eight more spins and another symbol to the expanding pool. Feature Boost increases the chance of triggering free spins, while Bonus Buy offers entry with different numbers of Expanding symbols already selected.
Feature focus: During free spins, track which regular symbol is selected. Matching reels can fill with it across the layout, so its positions matter even when they are separated.
RTP and Win Potential
The game uses five reels, three rows and ten paylines, with medium volatility listed by the provider. The expanding-symbol feature gives the prize chase its focus, while extra spins can add more symbols to the pool. Watch which symbols join that pool as the feature develops.
My Thoughts On This Slot
The expanding-symbol feature gives the bonus a strong central idea: matching a chosen symbol can change whole reels, and separated reels can join in. That makes the layout itself worth watching as the feature develops. The book's dual role also gives ordinary spins a simple point of focus, whether it is helping a line or appearing as a Scatter.
Feature Boost and Bonus Buy offer different ways to approach the free spins, though buying in with more Expanding symbols does not guarantee a strong result. The feature should appeal to players who enjoy symbol upgrades and a bonus that can grow through retriggers. Those who prefer a plain, steady line game may find its main attraction concentrated in the free spins.
Final Take: A voodoo-themed line slot built around free spins that can turn matching reels into walls of one symbol.
