Sweepstakes AMOE Entries 2026 remain one of the least understood parts of sweeps play. AMOE stands for alternative method of entry. It is the free path to Sweeps Coins. Without it, most sweepstakes casinos could not operate at all.
Sweepstakes AMOE Entries 2026: The Basics
US sweepstakes law rests on a simple idea. A legal sweepstakes cannot require a purchase. That is why you see “no purchase necessary” on so many promotions. Therefore, every sweeps casino must offer a free way to get Sweeps Coins.
The classic AMOE is a mail-in request. You write a postcard or letter with your details and a unique code. Then you mail it to the address in the site terms. After that, the casino adds a set amount of Sweeps Coins to your account.
Many sites offer other free methods too. Daily login bonuses, social media giveaways and referral rewards are common. Some sites also hand out coins for surveys or app offers. However, the mail-in route is the one that regulators and courts watch most closely.
Each site sets its own rules. For example, many require handwritten requests. Others limit you to one request per envelope. Most also cap how many requests you can send each day or week.
Why It Matters For Players
AMOE coins work just like purchased Sweeps Coins. You can play them and redeem any winnings for prizes. So a few postcards can build a real balance over time.
The rules are strict, though. A missing code or a typed letter can void your request. Additionally, mail takes time, so coins may not arrive for several weeks. Players should read the terms carefully before sending anything.
AMOE also sits at the center of the legal fight. Several states now argue that the free path does not change what sweeps games really are. Meanwhile, operators point to AMOE as proof that they run legal promotions. In other words, this small rule carries big legal weight.
Some sites also make AMOE hard to find. The address may sit deep in the terms. Therefore, search the sweepstakes rules page for words like “mail” or “alternative method.” Then save a copy of the rules on the day you send your request.
